Job Summary

Job Title: Meat Clerk - Mid/Pm Shifts

Reports To: Meat Manager

The Meat Clerk maintains stock levels within the Meat Department's sales floor by replenishing products and provides exceptional service to all guests both behind the service counter and on the sales floor.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist guests in finding items on or off the sales floor
  • Receive, prepare, and fulfill guest orders and special requests
  • Provide excellent guest service, professionally answering department calls and assisting on the sales floor
  • Support teammates and contribute positively to the Meat Department culture
  • Address guest concerns and resolve issues using the boomerang principle
  • Ensure high-quality standards by inspecting, rotating, maintaining proper temperatures, and replenishing meat products
  • Maintain proper inventory levels for supplies like containers, wraps, and tags
  • Follow food safety procedures and keep logs
  • Meet quality standards, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm
  • Maintain regular attendance and communicate absences in advance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

  • Understanding of safety requirements and policies
  • Knowledge of equipment and procedures such as slicers, proper lifting, trash compactors, and balers

  • Stand, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
  • Full upper body motion
  • Lifting up to 80 pounds occasionally
  • Exposure to cold environments like freezers and coolers
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
Work Schedule

The Meat Clerk position can be part-time or full-time, with shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
