Job summary

Meijer in Hartland Township is seeking a Food Clerk to support Fresh departments with a customer-friendly store experience. You will engage with customers, share product knowledge, and maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked displays.

Responsibilities include stocking, rotating, and merchandising products, using store technology, and adhering to food safety standards while assisting across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery teams.

This position requires availability on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Must be available from 2:00 am - 9:30 am.

This position also requires lifting having boxes repeatedly, sorting truck delivery, stocking/rotating products, and cleaning.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
