Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Sales Manager to strategically manage assigned categories, drive sales and market share, and lead pricing, promotions, and assortment decisions. You will partner with corporate merchants to optimize vendor relationships and category performance.

The role requires extensive experience in retail/category management, strong analytical and leadership skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
• 5-10+ years of retail/category experience, including grocery industry.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Strong analytical and financial management abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Create yearly category business plans based on analyses of results and trends.
• Meet or exceed projected sales and profit contributions.
• Develop pricing strategies by zone and category.
• Plan and execute promotional calendars and track results.
• Design category adjacencies and determine product assortments.
• Maintain scorecards measuring sales, gross profit, and share.
• Lead vendor negotiations and communication within division.
