Job Summary

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

This role involves providing field oversight to ensure accurate measurement of crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals shipped via marine vessels, pipelines, terminals, and refineries. Responsibilities include verifying measurement accuracy with public inspectors, vessel personnel, and agencies, analyzing measurement data, and collaborating with internal departments to calibrate equipment. The role also involves investigating losses or gains to protect CITGO assets.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience in oil measurement, with a background as a loss control specialist, petroleum inspector, or related field. Knowledge of static/dynamic measurement techniques is required. The candidate must be a self-starter with good computer skills; familiarity with SAP or Right Angle is a plus.

Job Duties

1. Coordinate measurement system accuracy activities, evaluate testing effectiveness, and oversee equipment repairs, ensuring compliance with standards.
2. Perform audits of public inspectors and CITGO facilities to verify measurement practices and standards adherence.
3. Review petroleum shipments for discrepancies, support claims investigations, and input data into SAP.
4. Assist with measurement system consulting and interpret relevant standards.
5. Provide guidance on contractor selection and measurement training for personnel.
6. Monitor measurement contracts and maintain updated standards references.

Additional site-specific responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
