Job summary

Peoples Gas System in Orlando is seeking a Measurement and Instrumentation Technician at multiple levels to install, calibrate, and maintain gas measurement equipment and SCADA systems. You will troubleshoot field devices, perform routine testing, and coordinate with teams to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires a high school diploma and strong mechanical skills, plus experience with MS Word/Excel and safety regulations. Opportunities span Tech I–III with increasing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
• Strong mechanical abilities.
• Knowledge of EPA, DOT, OSHA, NEC, API, and SOP.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain gas measurement equipment and SCADA field devices.
• Perform calibration and accuracy testing on meters and instruments.
• Troubleshoot and repair field communication links to the database.
• Plan maintenance and track schedules in the WAM/WMS system.
• Coordinate with internal teams for gate station installations.
