Job Overview:

Quality Department Failure Analysis Engineer for the Sprinter Production in Charleston. Role is to lead and/or support with problem solving of product related defects in the plant. Responsibilities include supporting and performing root cause analysis & coordination of activities for analysis of vehicles, sub-assemblies, and parts. Conduct and/or support with Q-Release and Connectivity testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Failure analysis with cross-functional teams to resolve Quality issues
  • Structure analysis using the 8D problem solving methodology
  • Plan and conduct root cause analysis activities
  • Support as needed for development of countermeasures to resolve Quality issues
  • Conduct Connectivity testing and coordinate vehicle allocation with Production
  • Compile and present results to local and international counterparts
  • Support with Q-Release projects and activities
  • Documentation of data and analysis in accordance to audit compliance
  • Present results of analysis to various audiences, ranging from working level to senior management (E2/E3)
  • Benchmark and collaborate on standards and topics with counterparts at sister plants in Europe
  • Complete administrative tasks and duties in a timely manner
  • Administer and/or support with relevant trainings
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field plus 3-5 years of Failure Analysis experience
