Job summary

New Mexico Gas Company is seeking an Engineer I/II/III (Measurement Engineering) to ensure accurate measurement and accounting of gas stations across its distribution and transmission network. You will design, install, maintain, and calibrate metering equipment including regulators, valves, SCADA, odorization, flow meters, and gas chromatographs, supporting billing accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree required for consideration.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • FE certification preferred for Engineer I and required for Engineer II.
  • PE license required for Engineer III.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering expertise to support intermediate projects.
  • Offer technical guidance aligned with established standards to company personnel.
  • Conduct studies to evaluate performance, cost, and scheduling criteria of alternatives.
  • Provide technical direction to contractors and company personnel.
  • Prepare monthly project financial reports including budgeting, forecasting, and actuals tracking.
  • Communicate proposals and project status to engineering and non-engineering groups.
  • Represent company interests in intermediate engineering matters.
  • Contribute to formulation of company and industry standards.

Skills

Valid driver's license

Education

ABET-accredited engineering degree
FE certification (preferred for Engineer I, required for Engineer II)
PE license (required for Engineer III)
