Job summary

Belimo in Großröhrsdorf, Germany, seeks a Measurement Engineer/Technician (100%). You will develop and expand measurement infrastructure, commission and calibrate lab equipment, and perform PoC validation for air quality sensors and related products.

Responsibilities include planning measurement campaigns, programming test benches, and delivering data analyses with LabVIEW and MATLAB, while ensuring safety and traceability standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with measurement systems, test benches, calibration activities, and laboratory equipment.
• Good knowledge of LabVIEW, MATLab, and/or test bench programming and automation.
• Experience with electronic circuits, troubleshooting, sensors, gas measurement technology, air quality sensors, HVAC systems, or related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, operate, and expand measurement infrastructure and test benches for air quality sensor development and validation.
• Commission, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and improve laboratory equipment, measuring instruments, electronic systems, and test facilities to ensure reliable and accurate measurements.
• Plan, organize, and execute measurement campaigns, technical investigations, PoC activities, and validation tests for new products, technologies, and development projects.
• Program and modify test benches, ideally using LabVIEW, and create data analysis, visualization, and evaluation solutions using MATLab or similar tools.
• Perform measurement accuracy assessments, verify sensor performance, investigate root causes, and support technical reporting.
• Support the specification, procurement, installation, qualification, and lifecycle management of laboratory equipment and measurement systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, calibration requirements, and measurement traceability standards.
• Prepare, process, document, and communicate measurement results while supporting development teams with technical expertise

Who You Are

• Vocational training as a Measurement Technician, Automation Technician, Electronics Technician, or a comparable technical qualification
• Hands-on experience with measurement systems, test benches, calibration activities, and laboratory equipment
• Good knowledge of LabVIEW, MATLab, and/or test bench programming and automation
• Experience with electronic circuits, troubleshooting, sensors, gas measurement technology, air quality sensors, HVAC systems, or related technologies
• Experience in laboratory infrastructure setup, equipment maintenance, procurement, and commissioning is an advantage
• Strong practical mindset with a passion for experimentation, testing, sensor technology, and physical measurement principles
• Structured, proactive, and independent working style with organizational skills
• Good communication skills in German and English
