Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking an analyst for the Corporate Gas Measurement Group in Oklahoma City to validate data with Flowcal, collaborate with field technicians and SCADA, and ensure accurate measurement data flows through downstream systems.

You will generate Flowcal reports, resolve measurement issues, and support SOX controls and settlements while maintaining high data integrity and collaboration with producers and 3rd parties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or relative work experience with at least two years’ work experience.
  • Working knowledge with Flowcal and TESTit or other Enterprise software’s.
  • Ability to quickly understand basic gas measurement principles.
  • Able to use advanced MS Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team collaboration with field and office staff.
  • Detail oriented and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel overnight.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an analyst for the Corporate Gas Measurement Group.
  • Use Flowcal to validate and edit data as required to present accurate volume and energy from and to our customers.
  • Work closely with field measurement technicians and SCADA group to collect accurate and complete measurement data into Flowcal Enterprise.
  • Support the data integrity as it flows from the measurement processes to ensure volumes and analysis are captured and transferred to the downstream systems.
  • Provide data for technicians and supervisors to resolve balance and producer related issues.
  • Support business processes related to gas and liquid measurement and the related settlement and SOX control activities.
  • Create scheduled Flowcal reports for internal and external customers.
  • Communicate edits, analysis, PPA’s, and other measurement related questions to producers and other 3rd parties.
  • Ensure that the meter ID’s and associated setup is accurate and complete in the Measurement Repository.
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or relative work experience with at least two years’ work experience
  • Working knowledge with Flowcal and TESTit or other Enterprise software’s
  • Ability to quickly understand basic gas measurement principles
  • Able to use advanced skills MS Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working as a team with employees of various backgrounds in both field and office positions
  • Detail oriented and analytical skills
  • Driven to develop and apply both technical and functional skills/capabilities
  • Able to occasionally travel overnight
  • Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, information systems or related discipline
  • Previous experience as a gas measurement analyst
  • Familiar with API, GPA, and AGA standards that govern the gas measurement industry
  • Experience with Winccu, RocLink, and other field interface software
  • Experience with of TESTit
  • Experience with Power BI report creation a plus
