Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt technical assistance to health care providers, local health departments, and the public.
• Coordinate with IDOH Laboratories and health partners for prompt diagnostic testing.
• Conduct surveillance using NBS, ESSENCE, and other systems.
• Develop educational materials for providers and the public.
• Assist with surveillance/investigation of cases and outbreaks.
• Provide surge data entry support as needed.
• On-call epidemiologist for program areas during off-hours.
• Back up other staff as needed.
