Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in Montgomery County Public Schools, Maryland. This full-time role focuses on assessing and treating fine motor, sensory, and functional skills within the school setting.

You will collaborate with educators, families, and the school team to promote participation in classroom activities and educational goals, while documenting progress and staying current with pediatric OT best

Qualifications

Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' OT needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based OT interventions to improve fine motor, sensory processing, and functional independence.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and school-based team to support classroom participation.
Monitor and document progress; adapt treatment plans as needed.
Educate parents, teachers, and staff on strategies to improve fine motor skills and sensory regulation.
Maintain accurate records including session notes and progress reports.
Stay current with pediatric OT research and best practices.
Participate in IEP and school-based professional development meetings.
