Job summary

Old Colony Elder Services, Inc. is seeking a caring Meals Site Manager to oversee food service operations for the Meals on Wheels program. The role requires coordinating volunteer staff and drivers, promoting a congenial site, and occasionally delivering meals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with COA Director to direct volunteers and home-delivered meals drivers.
• Foster a harmonious meal site with COA Director and Housing Authority staff.
• Deliver meals when needed.
• Ensure health, sanitation, and safety regulations are met.
• Prepare accurate, timely reports as required.
• Receive and track donations per OCES procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

OCES is growing! We are expanding to 11 more towns covering the south shore area, including Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, etc.

We are seeking a caring Meals Site Manager to oversee food service operations at assigned meal sights for our Meals on Wheels Program, which provides needed nutritious meals to our consumers. Work with us and feel good about the contribution you are making each day.

Reliable transportation required. Monday through Friday mornings! 22-25 hours per week

What you’ll do:

• Collaborating with Council on Aging (COA) Director (and Housing Authority personnel when appropriate) to assign and direct the work of volunteer staff and home delivered meals drivers
• Collaborating with COA Director and Housing Authority personnel to promote a congenial and harmonious meal site
• Delivering meals on occasion as necessary
• Ensuring that all health, sanitation, and safety regulations are met
• Providing accurate and timely reports as prescribed
• Receiving and accounting for donations according to OCES procedure
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Business experience preferable
• Food service experience desirable
