Job summary

Macomb County Government is seeking a Food Service Aide (Part-time) to support Meals on Wheels and Dining Senior Style by portioning meals, serving lunch, and coordinating activities with senior participants. The role involves preparing meals, organizing the food service area, and assisting with program documentation and scheduling of speakers. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, with prior customer service experience preferred.

Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Encourages senior participation by creating a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
• Organizes food service operation as required for Meals on Wheels and Dining Senior Style programs.
• Portions and package meals for Meals on Wheels Volunteer Driver pick up.
• Serves lunch on-site for Dining Senior Style participants.
• Cleans site after lunch, including kitchen and dining room.
• Maintains accurate records of necessary documentation for agency and funding source.
