Job summary

Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas seeks a Kitchen Assistant supervised by the Food Service Manager and Center Director to support meal preparation, serving, packaging for home delivery, and clean-up under safety guidelines.

This role involves assisting in meal setup, operating standard kitchen equipment, and adhering to health and fire prevention standards, with occasional other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Grammar school or higher education; some experience in food preparation.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of meals following menu plans.
• Assist in setting up and serving meals.
• Package meals for delivery to the homebound and assist in transporting them.
• Clean kitchen and maintain safety, health, and fire prevention regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
