Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator to provide IT systems support for daily operations and ensure system availability and optimization.

The ideal candidate will maintain Linux and Windows environments, create and manage virtual machines, apply patches, and support SSP compliance and security requirements, including NSA Full Scope Polygraph access. Knowledge of PowerBI and cloud environments (AWS) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science or related discipline.
• Seven years of SA experience in programs of similar scope and complexity; exceptions may substitute for degree.
• Background supporting Linux and Windows OS.
• Experience with software installation and configuration.
• Understanding of applying patches and maintaining STE/STN compliance on SSPs.
• Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage IAVA patches ensuring SSP compliance, in coordination with ISSO.

• Optimize system operations and perform capacity planning.

Job Summary

• Seeking a System Administrator to provide IT systems support for daily operations and resolves all issues to ensure system availability and optimization
• The Ideal candidate will
• Provide support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, and mobile devices
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
• Configure and manage LINUX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

Primary Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Linux systems. Experience with Windows to support Microsoft PowerBI is also very helpful
• Create, support, and manage virtual machines
• Manage all IAVA patches ensuring multiple SSPs remain STE/STN compliant. Work in close coordination with ISSO
• Manage installation and configuration of software environments
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
• Provide support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Perform Data Transfer Agent (DTA) responsibilities, including reviewing, validating, documenting, and executing authorized data transfers between systems and security domains at varying classification levels

Required Qualifications

• Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree (BS) in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Seven (7) years experience as an SA in programs of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Four (4) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. A Master's Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience
• Must have background supporting both Linux and Windows OS
• Experience with software installation and configuration
• Understanding of applying patches to systems and maintaining STE/STN compliance on SSPs
• Security + Certification (SEC+)

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with AWS and cloud environments
• Scripting experience (Python) is a plus

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The Pay Range For This Role Is

165,000 - 185,000 USD per year(NBP)
