Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to design and implement advanced AI/ML and data science solutions across mission domains at Fort Meade, MD. The successful candidate will support the MPO customer environment, developing Agentic AI, RAG, and customized ML solutions.

Requires active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph. A Master's degree with 9+ years (or Bachelor's with 11+ years) and expert Python proficiency are needed.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will support the MPO customer environment and develop sophisticated Agentic AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and customized machine learning solutions

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced AI/ML and data science solutions
• Develop Agentic AI systems and customized RAG capabilities
• Assess, evaluate, and implement appropriate ML models for specific mission needs
• Train, evaluate, optimize, and deploy machine learning and large language models
• Tailor AI/ML solutions for operational performance and resource constraints
• Develop models suitable for low-memory and low-resource edge-device environments
• Evaluate model performance and recommend improvements
• Work with mission stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI/ML solutions

Required Qualifications

• Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
• Master's degree with 9 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's degree with 11 years of relevant experience, Associate's degree with 13 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position

• Deep knowledge and experience with AI technologies
• Experience assessing, evaluating, training, and optimizing ML models
