Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. seeks a Data Scientist to provide advanced discovery support using machine learning, analytical prototyping, scripting, automation, data visualization, statistical analysis, and TechSIGINT tools.

The ideal candidate will bring prior experience as an analyst, targeteer, or in a discovery-focused role and will be comfortable adapting to new tools, technologies, and mission requirements. The role is Exempt and hourly-positioned, with a pay range reflecting experience.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph is required.
• Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s with 8 years, or Associate’s with 10 years of related experience.
• Experience as an analyst, targeteer, or in a discovery-related discipline is required.
• Experience with scripting and workflow automation.
• Experience performing data analysis and statistical analysis.
• Experience developing analytical prototypes and data visualizations.

• Conduct advanced discovery and analytical activities supporting mission requirements
• Apply machine learning and statistical analysis techniques to identify patterns, relationships, and areas for further investigation
• Develop analytical prototypes, scripts, and automated workflows
• Create data visualizations to communicate analytical findings
• Use TechSIGINT tools and related analytical technologies
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technical approaches as mission needs evolve
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and mission stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
• Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, Associate's degree with 10 years of in‑depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position
• Prior experience as an analyst, targeteer, or in a discovery-related discipline
• Experience with scripting and workflow automation
• Experience performing data analysis and statistical analysis
• Experience developing analytical prototypes and data visualizations
• Ability to rapidly learn and apply new tools and technologies

Desired Qualifications

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is:

135,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Ft. Meade MD)
