Edwards Vacuum in Oregon seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement on the shop floor. You will implement risk assessments and safety practices to enhance the machining environment and reduce defects.

You will collaborate across teams to identify root causes of serious quality issues, optimize production lines, and develop new processes and validation plans to satisfy customers and improve overall manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk assessment and safety behavior on a machining shop floor.
• Ability to identify risky issues and data-driven solutions.
• Experience optimizing production lines and manufacturing processes.

• Implement regular activities such as risk assessment and safety behavior to improve the machining shop floor environment.
• Collaborate with internal and external colleagues through prompt response and action, focus on root cause of serious quality issues to minimize machining scrap; optimize production lines and processes.
• Acquire communication and negotiation skills from diverse interests to drive key performance results and manage conflicts constructively.
• Develop new products as continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and flexibly control plans to satisfy customer; verify and validate manufacturing processes for new machining parts.

Main Responsibilities as ME

• Implement regular activities as risk assessment and safety behavior to improve the environment of machining shop floor. Identify a risky issue and collect available data and connect them to a known solution or provide a new solution.
• Collaborate with internal and external colleagues through prompt response and action, focus on the root cause of serious quality issue to minimize machining scrap. Has responsible for optimization of production lines and manufacturing processes with improvement activities. Apply knowledge of the manufacturing field, application, expertise, and technology in order to achieve zero defects.
• Acquire communication and interaction skills to reach agreement through negotiation from diverse interests or others in related departments, to drive key performance results and manage conflict in a constructive way.

• Develop new product as a continuous improvement of manufacturing process and flexibly control plan to satisfy customer. Efficiently utilize time, resources, and budget to fulfill the result. Verification and Validation manufacturing process for new machining part.
