Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Read and interpret engineered drawings
  • Skills and Abilities: Perform duties satisfactorily
  • Language: Read, speak, and understand English
  • Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, hand dexterity, speaking, clear vision and hearing, ability to lift and carry 75lbs.
  • Mental Requirements: Ability to follow procedures in an organized fashion

Duties / Tasks
  1. Punch in on time and be available at the start of each workday.
  2. Communicate with Coordinator and customer contact to determine route, placement, and termination of coaxial and fiber optic cable on customer premises.
  3. Load and maintain necessary equipment and material stocks onto the assigned vehicle.
  4. Run coaxial and fiber optic cable according to company standards and local building code.
  5. Set backboards, lockboxes, equipment racks, and/or pedestals as necessary.
  6. Run EMT, CRM, or other conduits as necessary.
  7. Learn to splice coaxial and fiber optic cables.
  8. Act as the final company contact, cleaning up the jobsite, noting deficiencies, and ensuring customer satisfaction before leaving.
  9. Read and check prints.
  10. Clean vehicles, equipment, and shop.
  11. Follow all safety regulations and standards.
  12. Notify supervisor of unsafe equipment or working conditions.
  13. Attend safety meetings as required.
  14. Receive an annual performance evaluation of satisfactory or better, or have a plan in place to achieve that.
  15. Follow company, customer, and OSHA safety rules and regulations in the field.
  16. Perform any other duties or assignments as may be assigned by the supervisor.
