Job description

Purpose of Role:

The MDS NAV Engagement Lead is responsible for the strategic ownership, governance, and optimization of the company’s NetSuite ERP platform and related integrations across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Order Fulfillment. This role provides leadership over ERP support and enhancement activities while partnering closely with executive stakeholders to enable scalable growth across a distributed CPG supply chain that relies on external manufacturers and third‑party logistics providers (3PLs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the application roadmap, aligning ERP capabilities to business strategy, growth plans, and operational priorities.
  • Establish governance models for enhancements, prioritization, release management, and change control.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for ERP‑related risks, issues, and cross‑functional dependencies.
  • Ensure NetSuite architecture, configurations, and integrations scale with business growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop NetSuite analysts, administrators, and external support partners.
  • Set performance goals, define operating standards, and build repeatable support and delivery processes.
  • Manage capacity planning across internal resources and external vendors.
  • Foster strong business partnership and accountability across MDS and functional teams.
  • Oversee NetSuite workflows supporting internal & external supply chain.
  • Ensure robust integration and data accuracy across inventory, production, ASN, shipment, and financial postings.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Service leadership to reduce fulfillment exceptions and improve visibility.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all business processes.
  • Lead complex NetSuite enhancements including workflows, custom records, scripting, reporting, and automation.
  • Oversee integrations with 3PLs, EDI providers, WMS platforms, and planning tools.
  • Ensure disciplined testing, release management, and post‑deployment stabilization.
  • Evaluate and introduce best practices for application / process optimization and harmonization.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to ensure accurate revenue recognition, COGS, landed cost, and inventory valuation.
  • Ensure ERP controls support audit, SOX, and compliance requirements as applicable.
  • Own master data governance across items, vendors, customers, pricing, BOMs, and lot attributes.
  • Drive data quality standards across internal teams and external partners.
Required Skills / Experience:
  • 5+ years of NetSuite or ERP experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
  • Experience in CPG, food & beverage, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end ERP processes including O2C, P2P, inventory, production, and financial close.
  • Proven experience supporting internal & external manufacturers and 3PL‑integrated supply chains.
  • Demonstrated leadership of internal teams and external vendors.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision‑making skills.
  • Project management experience, planning, budget management, and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills / Experience:
  • Experience with EDI (850, 856, 810, 940/945) and integration platforms (Celigo, MuleSoft).
  • Familiarity with product‑centric or platform‑based IT operating models.
  • Experience with e‑commerce systems (Shopify, Tik‑Tok shop).
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, and/or Business Administration.
Travel:
  • Around 10% (locally and occasionally, within 100 miles).
