Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in New Jersey is seeking an MDS Director to oversee MDS processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality outcomes. The role requires leadership across nursing management and collaboration with staff to optimize Medicare reimbursement and care planning.

Responsibilities include monitoring quality measures, ensuring timely MDS assessments, staff education, and policy development.

Qualifications

  • Five years or more as an MDS Coordinator.
  • Meets regulatory requirements for MDS Prospective Payment System.
  • Deep understanding of PDPM reimbursement model and CMS guidelines.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience preferred

  • Provides in-service training regarding the MDS to Nurse Managers, RNs, LPNs, and other clinical staff (social service, recreation therapy, and dietitians).
  • Report monthly progress to DON and supervise and oversee MDS process in doing care plan compliance
  • Customer Service: respect, flexibility, knowledge, confidence, professionalism, pleasant attitude, patience and helpfulness.

Salary commensurate with experience within posted range

$110,000 to $120,000 annually
