At Jefferson House, we provide excellent long-term care and rehabilitation services to seniors in the greater Hartford area for over 120 years. We are comprised of a skilled and caring staff which provides seniors with Nursing Services, Therapeutic Recreation, Spiritual Services, and Social Services, aimed at caring for the whole individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Medicare reporting information to ensure optimum payment according to the Omnibus Reconciliation Act 1987 (OBRA) and Perspective Payment System (PPS) regulations and federal guidelines.
  • Manage a work area in the Jefferson House environment to ensure that high-quality, cost-effective services are delivered by the department in support of the hospital's strategic plan, and the function's goals and objectives.

Qualifications
  • Current CT Nursing License with Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; MSN preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of MDS experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OBRA and PPS regulations.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Excellent assessment and communication skills.
  • Experience managing and developing employees.
  • Specialization in function and/or specific work experience typically required.
