The MDS Coordinator is responsible for:
  1. Coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process to ensure compliance, accuracy, attestation, and timely completion of resident assessments according to Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA, and other payor or program requirements.
  2. Ensuring assessments accurately reflect each resident's physical, mental, and psychosocial status.
  3. Ensuring the accuracy of RAI assessments to optimize reimbursement for services provided.
  4. Ensuring appropriate documentation to support services and assessment accuracy.
  5. Communicating effectively with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  6. Working effectively with residents, family members, and staff.
Candidates must have:
  • Current Georgia Nurse License in good standing (LPN or RN).
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of the MDS and RAI, specifically version 3.0.
