FullShift Staffing is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator - RN for a Skilled Nursing Facility in the Taunton, MA area. You will manage RAI/MDS processes, coordinate care plans, and ensure regulatory compliance to optimize resident outcomes and reimbursement.

The role offers full-time days, a collaborative interdisciplinary team, and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive environment. You’ll work directly with residents and staff to uphold high-quality long-term care

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program.
  • Current nursing license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Experience with MDS 3.0 and the RAI process preferred.
  • BLS/CPR Certification if required by the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process from admission through discharge.
  • Complete accurate MDS assessments, coding, and documentation to support quality care and appropriate reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop assessment schedules, coordinate care plan meetings, and ensure timely completion of resident assessments.
  • Review clinical documentation to ensure it supports MDS coding and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate resident information within computerized MDS software systems.
  • Assist with daily clinical meetings, ARD scheduling, and care management activities.
  • Stay current on federal and state regulations related to MDS, reimbursement, and long-term care documentation.
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives that enhance resident care and facility performance.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program.

  • Current nursing license in the state of employment (or ability to obtain).

  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

  • Experience with MDS 3.0 and the RAI process preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Medicare PPS, Medicaid reimbursement, Case Mix, OBRA regulations, Quality Measures, and the RAI User's Manual.

  • Current BLS/CPR Certification (if required by the facility).
