Job summary

Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich seeks an MDS Coordinator to plan, organize, and direct the MDS process ensuring high-quality resident care. Compensation: $42 to $50 per hour, based on experience and license. LPN or RN qualified.

Responsibilities include coordinating MDS, supervising ADL training, issuing Medicare denial notices, and transmitting CMS-approved MDS item sets with strict CMS guideline compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have an active, unencumbered nursing license (LPN or RN) in Massachusetts.
• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; ability to make independent decisions.

• Coordinate the MDS process and oversee resident care plans and MDS reports.

• Issue and deliver CMS denial notices and Medicare denial letters timely.

MDS Coordinator at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich, an award-winning facility!

As the MDS Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and directing the MDS process, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care.

$42 to $50 an hour, depending on experience and license. Can be an LPN or RN.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the MDS process, including overseeing resident care plans and completing MDS reports
• Oversee ADL training for facility staff
• Issue and deliver denial notices and Medicare denial letters in a timely and appropriate manner
• Complete and transmit all CMS-approved item sets (MDS) accurately and efficiently
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with current CMS regulatory guidelines
• Ensure the confidentiality of resident health information and maintain adequate systems to support billed services

Requirements:

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university
• Must possess an active and unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in Massachusetts
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with various stakeholders
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws and regulations that pertain to long-term care
