Job summary

Regency Laurel Hill in Grants Pass, OR is seeking a dedicated MDS Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate completion of MDS assessments. You will maintain MDS schedules, generate calendars, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications

• Possess active nursing license in good standing.
• Knowledge of MDS timing, regulations, and CDC guidelines.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MDS schedule within stated time frames and inform social workers of pending assessments.
• Generate and distribute the monthly MDS calendar.
• Create new assessments according to the MDS schedule.
• Attend quarterly and annual MDS meetings as a nursing dept representative.
• Generate annual Kardex goals for the interdisciplinary care plan.
• Sign MDS for completeness and accuracy.

The MDS Coordinator has responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate completion of all MDS assessments.

You will:

• Maintain MDS schedule within stated MDS time frames and informs Social Workers and Education Director of pending MDS assessments.
• Generate and distribute the monthly MDS calendar.
• Create new assessments according to the MDS schedule.
• Attend quarterly and annual MDS meetings as a nursing department representative.
• Generate annual nursing Kardex goals for the interdisciplinary care plan.
• Generate a hard copy of all MDS assessments and obtain the signatures of all team members completing the assessments.
• Sign MDS for completeness.

You currently:

• Possess a current nursing license. The license must be in good standing.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
