Zusammenfassung

The New Mexico VA Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse MDRO Program Coordinator to lead infection prevention initiatives and MDRO prevention activities across the facility. You will collaborate with clinical teams, support services, and public health agencies to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and CDC standards, and to report MDRO data for quality improvement.

Travel is limited and background checks/credentialing are required.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in infection prevention and control in healthcare settings.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and agencies.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (TJC, OIG, OMI) and infection control guidelines.

• Interprets and implements recommendations from professional organizations and regulatory bodies.
• Manages local MDRO prevention initiatives and data reporting.
• Designs and implements focused studies to address infection transmission issues.
• Educates staff on IP&C issues and conducts training on outbreaks and program updates.
