Responsibilities

Ascension is seeking a Master Data Management Lead/Product Manager to join our Data Delivery and Governance - MDM team. In this position, you will work under the leadership and direction of the Product Director to deliver the program mandate. To be successful in this role, you will bring a blend of strong leadership, technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. You are also motivated by guiding principles founded on upholding high data standards across the organization.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage the lifecycle of products, features and/or enhancements from conceptualization through requirements gathering, product specification and roadmap, implementation, review, and release.
  2. Drive Projects end-to-end from Product standpoint (Roadmaps, Backlog, Prioritization, Use Cases, User Acceptance).
  3. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of MDM professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance through all phases of the Project.
  4. Lead teams in understanding and defining requirements, Business Processes and Integration Solutions.
  5. Lead the team of Business Analysts, Product Owners and technical know how to support Technical Solutions.
  6. Partner with Architecture and Delivery to foster empowered data product delivery teams operating effectively at all levels.
  7. Identify intra-team process improvements to ensure the product’s success.
  8. Practice effective internal and external communication, ensuring that priorities, high-profile metrics, and outcomes are well communicated and well understood.
  9. Collaborate on and communicate product/architecture/delivery resourcing needs and strategy.
  10. Understand the inter-relationships between service lines to determine if the product requirements constitute one or multiple product solutions.
  11. Conduct regular team meetings to align on objectives, share updates, and address any challenges.
  12. Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members and conduct performance evaluations.
  13. Manage team workload and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project lifecycle management through delivery.
  14. Foster relationships across technology teams and organizational consumers.
  15. Support Product Owner in resolving product dependencies, risks, and related problems.
  16. Manage the data product development process by incorporating release feedback into future roadmaps.
  17. Collaborate with Leadership and service lines to gain new insights, unlock opportunities, and work together more effectively, with a specific focus on enabling go-to-market strategies.
  18. Competent with communications, presentation, and common productivity tools.
  19. Maintain knowledge of Healthcare industry trends and apply analysis to help craft the future direction of Ascension Data Products.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

  1. High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

  1. Overall 7+ Years Experience in Data Integration/MDM Areas
  2. 4+ years working on MDM/Data Integration projects as Team Lead/Manager
  3. 2+ Years working as Product Manager
  4. Technical background with knowledge of software development.
  5. Excellent knowledge of common MDM methodologies and tools/processes.
  6. Excellent Knowledge of Requirement Gathering, Source Discovery and Data Analysis
  7. Excellent knowledge of Data Integration Methodologies/Tools
  8. Excellent Knowledge of Healthcare Domain
  9. Familiarity with business intelligence tools
  10. Competent with epic/story/issue/bug identification, management, roadmapping, and other PM tools
  11. Experience with Confluence/JIRA
  12. Ability to lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and testers in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
  13. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and engage with other functional areas of the business outside of product development
  14. In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  15. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation
  16. Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details
  17. High degree of comfort in a fast-paced / ambiguous environment
  18. Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative
  19. Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure
  20. Team player who collaborates well with others
