Job summary

North Atlantic Corp. in Somerset, MA is seeking a skilled Door Assembler to join our production team. You will build MDF doors from start to finish, operating shop machinery, inspecting quality, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years, and experience with carpentry or wood product assembly. Familiarity with various saws and CNC equipment is a plus; English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be 18+
• Experience in finish carpentry or assembly of finished wood products
• Knowledge of wood species and shop safety
• Familiarity with doors and door trim
• Experience with table, radial arm, and upcut saws; shapers; sanders; clamps; and hand drills
• Clear written and verbal communication in English

Responsibilities

• Read and prioritize daily work orders, then build doors to spec
• Set up and run the tenoner and other shop machinery
• Cut panel stock and rails to size, then assemble, sand, and trim doors to height
• Inspect finished doors against quality checklists
• Report and label damaged material
• Keep the shop clean and organized to 5S standards
• Operate a forklift (if licensed and trained)
