Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is hiring for a warehouse associate on the weekend shift. You will handle parts, move materials, and support shipping and receiving activities while using a forklift and standard warehouse equipment. This role emphasizes safety and accurate order fulfillment.

Qualified candidates have at least 6 months in material handling and warehouse work, with basic computer skills and familiarity with SAP being a plus. Relocation is not offered; drug screen may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of prior warehouse experience.
• Beginner level of proficiency operating computers.
• SAP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move parts or materials and load/unload parts.
• Pull customer orders, stage shipments, and handle shipping/receiving.
• Operate a forklift, stretch wrapper, and dock leveler.
• Perform receiving inspection and expedite orders as needed.
• Work with supervision and adhere to safety standards.

Shift

Weekend Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm Friday - Sunday ($21.67/hour)

*Wage includes shift premium.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Warehouse responsibilities to include but not limited to: Moving parts or materials, loading and unloading parts, weigh counting parts, pulling customer orders, staging shipments, shipping, receiving, etc.
• May perform receiving inspection and may expedite orders with Schedulers to ensure proper materials are in house.
• Proceeds on work assignments with a minimum of supervision and/or direction.
• Operation of a fork-lift, stretch wrapper and dock leveler in addition to other warehouse equipment.
• Must work safely in all aspects of the job.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of material handling equipment experience
• Minimum of 6 months of prior warehouse experience
• Beginner level of proficiency operating computers

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous SAP experience
• Strong organization skills including the ability to follow a standard process and multi-task responsibilities
• Prior experience working in a team environment
• Intermediate proficiency in shop math
