Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Corporate/Transactional Attorney licensed in Maryland to join our collaborative firm. The role offers exposure to sophisticated corporate matters, direct interaction with business owners, and a strong benefits package with bonus opportunities.

The ideal candidate drafts and negotiates complex agreements, handles stock and asset purchase structures, and guides governance and regulatory compliance with independent, proactive collaboration alongside seasoned attorneys.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Maryland.
• Experience handling corporate transactions and general business law matters.
• Employment law experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of business and commercial agreements.
• Counsel clients on general corporate and business law matters.
• Structure and negotiate stock and asset purchase transactions.
• Prepare shareholder agreements, operating agreements, and governance documents.
• Draft and negotiate commercial service, supplier, and vendor agreements.
• Advise clients on corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
• Draft employment agreements and employment-related policies.
• Partner directly with business owners and executives to provide practical legal advice.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations.
• Manage multiple client matters while meeting deadlines.
