Job summary

Island Doctors in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a licensed MD or DO to provide primary medical care, order tests, interpret results, and coordinate patient treatment within the standard of care.

You will work with the primary healthcare team to diagnose conditions, discuss treatment options, prescribe medications, and advise on lifestyle changes while maintaining patient confidentiality and following all regulatory requirements. One year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine.
• Current Medical Doctor (MD) or Osteopathic Doctor (DO) licensure.
• At least one year of experience in a similar position is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care within standard of care with the primary healthcare team.
• Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer to specialists when appropriate.
• Analyze reports and records to diagnose conditions and propose treatments.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens; discuss side effects with patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with health information privacy laws.
