Job summary

Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center’s Emergency Department (Main Campus Waianae) seeks a physician to provide routine, urgent and emergency care in a Federally Qualified Community Health Center’s free standing Emergency Department. Requires MD/DO, Hawaii license, prescriptive authority for controlled substances and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Board certification in Emergency Medicine is preferred, but candidates with substantial emergency medicine experience without

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
• Valid Hawaii medical license.
• Prescriptive authority for controlled substances.
• PALS certification.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Non-board-certified candidates with substantial emergency medicine experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine, urgent and emergency care in the ED.

Education

Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine

Valid License to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii

Prescriptive authority for controlled substances

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred

Consideration for non-board-certified candidates with substantial emergency medicine experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
• Valid License to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii
• Prescriptive authority for controlled substances

• Board of certification in Emergency Medicine is preferred.
• Consideration will be given to candidates without board certification who have substantive emergency medicine practice experience.
