The role leads a team, defines governance models, selects tools, and builds metadata, lineage, and Customer 360 capabilities, with dashboards for executive visibility and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, data science, data management, business admin, or related field.
• At least 10 years in data management, governance or related fields.
• Proven oversight of data governance, MDM, data lake and legacy data management.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate a team of IT leadership and professionals.
• Define and champion enterprise data governance and MDM strategy aligned with goals and regulations.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provides enterprise-wide leadership for data governance and Master Data Management (MDM) to ensure trusted, compliant and high-quality data that enables strategic decision making and business performance.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate a team of high performing IT leadership and professionals.
2. Define and champion the enterprise data governance and Master Data Management (MDM) strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulations
3. Driver the selection and optimization of governance and MDM tools, including data catalogs, lineage and metadata management solutions
4. Oversee governance operating models, data councils and stewardship networks to embed accountability for data quality and ownership.
5. Establish and maintain strong metadata and lineage management, defining and tracking critical data elements.
6. Lead the design and continuous improvement of MDM platforms and practices to enable trusted data assets and capabilities such as Customer 360
7. Monitor and report governance performance, risks and compliance through clear metrics and dashboards for executive leaders
8. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
9. Analytical and organizational skills to manage data quality initiatives and compliance monitoring
10. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, data science, data management, business administration or related field
• Ten (10) years of experience in data management, governance or related fields
• Proven expertise in overseeing data governance, master data management (MDM), data lake management and legacy data management
• Strong knowledge of data policies, standards and quality management
• Experience with data management and integration of modern and legacy data platforms
• Strategic planning skills to design and implement effective data governance and product strategies
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to oversee diverse data functions
• Analytical problem-solving skills to drive data quality improvements and operational excellence
