Job summary

KBR in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program. You will operate gasoline or diesel engine-powered equipment used in earthmoving, grading, excavation, and container handler operations.

You will mentor lower-level operators and assist higher-level operators, while meeting licensing, CAC/Base Access, and safety requirements. U.S. citizen status required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Three years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Engineer Equipment Operator Course, or equivalent.
• Meet all pertinent licensing requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.

• Operates gasoline or diesel engine powered, self-propelled, skid-mounted and towed engineer construction equipment including accessories and allied equipment used in earthmoving, grading, excavation, clearing, and container handler operations.
• Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower-level operators and assists higher level operators.
