Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Total Store Sanitation Representative to maintain cleanliness and safety for an entire Store, inside and out, while ensuring a welcoming environment for customers.

Responsibilities include sanitation, maintenance, stocking, assisting customers, following SOPs, and lifting up to 50 lbs; must be OSHA‑aware and comfortable working around shoppers in a dynamic store setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to take initiative and do what needs to be done.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks while delivering good service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Store cleanliness and safety including floors, restrooms, and break rooms.
• Fulfill department hand wash supplies and maintain stock in maintenance areas.
• Clean and remove trash around the store and in flower beds/yard.
• Follow the company's chemical program and SOPs for sanitation.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles throughout store and departments.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met by following SOPs.
• Communicate maintenance needs or solutions to Store Leaders.
• Assist customers in locating products and work around customers as needed.
• Perform duties of Customer Service Assistant when required.

Job Summary

As a Total Store Sanitation Representative, you'll maintain cleanliness and safety for an entire Store, inside and out, all while making our customers feel welcome.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Sanitation / Maintenance

• Maintains the Store's cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization, including floors, windows, break rooms, and restrooms
• Maintains fulfillment of department hand wash sinks, such as paper towels, soap, sanitizer
• Cleans and picks up trash and debris from flower beds and yard around the Store
• Uses H-E-B chemical program and correctly organizes / maintains stock in maintenance room
• Empties and cleans trash receptacles throughout the store and each department
• Ensures food safety and sanitation standards are achieved by following SOPs
• Communicates maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders

Customer Service

• Works with / around customers; attends to their needs
• Assists customers in the location of product
• Performs all duties of Customer Service Assistant (CSA) when needed
