Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I (MCC Final) - A Shift at our Fayetteville, NC site. The role involves assembling, wiring, and final inspection of motor control center assemblies, with a general hourly rate of $18.40 and core hours Mon-Thu 5:30 AM - 4 PM.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of South Bend, IN will be considered for this position.
• Preferred: Minimum of 3 months previous experience in manufacturing environment
• Preferred: Previous experience reading schematic drawings/ blueprints

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies and standard assemblies in Motor Control Centers and related panels.
• Assemble and wire control devices, including cutting and preparing wires to specified lengths.
• Identify parts and materials, create requisitions, and obtain supplies from stock areas as needed.
• Review shop orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures and mounting configurations.
• Perform wiring changes and updates as required by production or engineering.
• Operate overhead cranes to move units and components safely.
• Inspect work for quality and maintain documentation and piece counts.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.
