Job summary

Dallas Retirement Village in Dallas, OR is seeking Memory Care Caregivers to provide direct support to residents living with memory loss. You will promote safety, dignity, and independence while assisting with daily living activities during a day shift on Saturdays through Wednesday.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience working with older adults preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and document care accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Memory Care Caregivers provide direct support and assistance to residents while promoting safety, comfort, dignity, and independence.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Support residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Assist with meal service, dining support, and hydration needs.
  • Monitor residents and report changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns.
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement opportunities.
  • Assist residents with appointments, activities, and community participation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized service plans.
  • Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Support a calm, welcoming, and resident-centered environment.
