Job summary

Waypoint's client seeks a highly motivated Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support a U.S. Space Force contract delivering digital engineering, MBSE artifacts, and system models for NSTTC and OTTI programs in Colorado Springs.

The role involves collaborating with Space Force engineers, software teams, and stakeholders to mature concepts into executable models and architecture products throughout the V-model lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Computer or related STEM.
• 3–8+ years of systems/digital engineering or MBSE experience.
• Experience developing SysML models using Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw).
• Experience with MBSE methodologies and lifecycle activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop MBSE artifacts using SysML and Cameo.
• Translate concepts and requirements into executable system models and architecture products.
• Develop digital engineering products supporting architecture, requirements, interfaces, and baselines.
• Support Digital Engineering across the V lifecycle and agile activities.
• Produce engineering documentation including reports and design specs.
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and government teams to mature capabilities.
