Job summary

Davidson Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced MBSE Software Systems Engineer for an on-site role in Huntsville, AL to design, develop, and deploy software for next-generation defense programs under the Air Force.

You will work in a Model Based Systems Engineering environment, translate requirements into system architectures, guide design activities, and provide technical leadership across integration efforts while ensuring the integrity of engineering work. Active DoD clearance required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience as a software and systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 4 years of additional software or systems engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Experience with SysML, UML, or other modeling languages.
• Excellent organizational and facilitation skills.
• Self-starter able to step up to difficult challenges.

Responsibilities

• Perform in a "Model Based Systems Engineering" (MBSE) environment
• Analyze users' requirements, concept of operations documents and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
• Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities
• Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches and conduct feasibility studies
• Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design and technology
• Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
• Develop technical, system Architecture and system design documentation
• Collaborates with Product Owners regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated issues
• Take responsibility for the technical integrity of systems engineering work
