Job summary

AmeriHome Mortgage is seeking a Capital Markets Operations Analyst in CA to manage post-trade processes for MBS and whole loan transactions. You will ensure accurate trade capture, pooling, settlement, and reconciliation while upholding internal controls and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with Traders, Accounting, and custodians to deliver GNMA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac securities, gaining exposure to securitization and agency execution within a large bank-owned mortgage platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Exposure to residential mortgage products and services.
• Knowledge of regulatory obligations and industry practices is a plus.
• SQL experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own post-trade processing for MBS, mortgage-related derivatives, and whole loan transactions; include trade capture validation, position management, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Partner with Traders, Financial Engineering, Accounting, agency counterparts, dealer counterparties, and custodians to ensure timely and accurate execution across the full trade lifecycle.
• Aggregate and pool eligible loans into GNMA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac securities per agency guidelines.
• Prepare, validate, and submit pool and delivery data to agencies and custodians.
• Maintain accurate loan and security position records; investigate data breaks and settlement discrepancies.
• Ensure SOX controls, documentation standards, and internal audit requirements are met.
• Support securitization data preparation and monitor data quality and lineage.
• Assist with margin/collateral processes and coordinate with counterparties and internal teams.
