Job summary

Katalyst CRO seeks a senior engineer to drive control algorithm development for rooftop systems. You will implement, simulate, and verify models in Simulink, conduct MATLAB tests, and perform dynamic analyses for robust control designs.

You will contribute to model-based design, validation, and lab testing, ensuring high performance and reliability across NPD and sustaining programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with model-based design and verification using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Knowledge of heat transfer, two-phase flow, and thermodynamic cycles.
• Ability to perform dynamic analysis of non-linear systems and optimization.
• Experience in lab testing and model-based validation.

Responsibilities

• Implement and verify control algorithms in Simulink for Carrier Rooftop NPD and sustaining programs.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Conduct model-based design analyses and system identification.

• Control algorithm implementation and verification for Carrier Rooftop NPD and sustaining programs.
• Implement Control Algorithms: Develop and refine control algorithms in Simulink, ensuring compliance with system specifications and performance requirements.
• Testing: Develop, execute, and refine unit and integration tests in MATLAB and Simulink to verify control algorithm against control requirement.
• Model-Based Design and Analysis: Basic knowledge in heat transfer, two-phase flow, and thermodynamic cycle and conduct model-based analysis for control design and improvement.
• Perform dynamic analysis of non-linear systems in development of control algorithms including system identification, controllability, robustness, stability, and optimization.
• Model-Based Verification and Validation: Utilize MATLAB, Simulink, and FMI Toolbox to implement and execute model-based verification and validation, ensuring system performance and functionality.
• Lab Testing and Debugging: Support lab testing by analysing results to guide refinements in plant model fidelity and control algorithms, identifying control-related issues, and implementing corrective actions to enhance system performance and reliability.
