Job summary

NextEra Energy's MBA Summer Internship Program offers graduate students the opportunity to apply their MBA education to strategic business challenges during an approximately 12-week assignment at our Juno Beach, FL headquarters.

Interns will own a strategic pre-assigned project aligned with the priorities of their assigned business area, present findings to senior executives, and participate in leadership development and networking across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Currently enrolled in the first year of a full-time MBA program.
• 3+ years of professional work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results, problem-solve, and collaborate with diverse groups.
• Strong oral presentation skills and proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to work autonomously while effectively managing matrixed support teams.
• Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
• Interest in spending the summer working at our Juno Beach, Florida headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Understand commercial opportunities in tactical areas pertaining to renewable energy strategy.
• Analyze and articulate economic value of various business alternatives.
• Support the negotiation of deals with regulators and businesses.
• Communicate with stakeholders to advance an idea or proposal.
• Galvanize support from internal subject matter experts.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
