Job summary

Guardian is offering a 2027 Summer Internship in New York, a 10-week paid program designed for a first-year MBA student graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. The intern will work in the FPRS Strategy team, supporting strategic planning and execution for Life, Annuities, Disability and Multi-Life businesses.

The program runs May 27, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with location in New York, NY (in-office 3x per week).

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen.
• Demonstrated project leadership potential, including prioritization of workstreams and collaboration with cross-functional colleagues.
• Proficiency with qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
• Ability to navigate relationships and influence key stakeholders using interpersonal skills, maturity and judgement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Understanding of AI capabilities and tools, including prompt design and AI value drivers.
• Self-starter mindset with energy, work ethic, independence, and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Be exposed to and influence the agendas of Guardian senior executives.
• Support the development of setting a strategic vision, direction and near-term priorities for Guardian’s FPRS businesses, supported by competitor/industry research and financial analysis.
• Support strategic deep dives for key business units as part of an internal consulting model.
• Support the development and delivery of content for specific strategic topics and executive-level working sessions.
• Assess and develop cases, market sizing, external research, etc. for ideas driving innovation, partnerships, and investments.
