Travere Therapeutics in San Diego invites applications for an MBA Marketing Intern to assist the Commercial Marketing team on initiatives for Healthcare Professionals and patient audiences. The role offers hybrid work (2 days onsite, 3 days virtual) and mentorship across Medical, Regulatory, and Legal partners.

Ideal candidates are current MBA students with interest in biopharmaceutical marketing, strong communication and presentation skills, and experience in brand strategy and insights.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in MBA program with at least one semester to complete prior to graduation.
• Marketing, brand strategy, healthcare, life sciences or related coursework preferred.
• Strong interest in biopharmaceutical marketing and rare disease.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer, market, and business insights into marketing tactics and communications.

Description

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Travere as we continue to grow in support of our commitment to identify, develop, and deliver life-changing therapies to people living with rare kidney diseases. During Travere Therapeutics' 11-week Early Career Talent Internship Program, beginning June 7, 2027, the intern will work in a hybrid environment (2 days onsite and 3 days virtually per week) and gain mentorship and cross-functional exposure while contributing to team objectives. The internship program will conclude with an opportunity to deliver a final presentation summarizing project work, key findings, contributions, and learning from the internship to senior leadership.

The MBA Marketing Intern will work on a project supporting the Commercial Marketing team on key initiatives for healthcare professional (HCP) and/or patient audiences across personal and non-personal communication channels. The intern will gain real-world experience translating customer insights into marketing tactics, working with agency partners, and collaborating with cross-functional Medical, Regulatory, and Legal partners.

Responsibilities:

• Translate customer, market, and business insights into recommendations for marketing tactics and communications.
• Support development and execution of defined marketing initiatives or tactics for HCP and/or patient audiences.
• Work with agency partners to support project timelines, deliverables, feedback, and execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Medical, Regulatory, Legal, and other partners to understand the review and approval process for biopharmaceutical marketing materials.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an MBA program or comparable graduate business program, with at least one semester to complete prior to graduation.
• Prior coursework or experience in marketing, brand strategy, healthcare, life sciences, consumer insights, or related areas is preferred.

Additional Skills/Experience:

• Strong interest in biopharmaceutical marketing, rare disease, customer insights, and brand strategy.
• Strong strategic thinking, communication, presentation, project management, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; experience developing executive-ready presentations is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with agency and cross-functional partners and incorporate feedback in a regulated environment.
• All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Target Base Pay Range:

$43 - 60 per hour
