Job summary

Rivian is seeking an MBA or Masters-level candidate for an on-site Product Management internship in Palo Alto. You will work to translate engineering pain points into a structured requirement schema, draft PRDs, and test mockups with real engineers.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted coding, formal handoff of a production-ready plan, and a data-driven business case to guide funding decisions. The program runs full-time for the spring term and may lead to future full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• MBA or Masters degree in progress or completion.
• Technical fluency in design, BOM, hardware lingo.
• Hands-on AI-assisted coding experience with Claude/Cursor or similar.
• Strong spec-writing and user research skills to run interviews and write PRD.
• Track record of technical handoff to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Interview engineers to uncover pain points and translate into a structured requirement schema.
• Write PRDs with interaction models, requirements and success metrics.
• Test mockups with engineers and revise specs.
• Prototype core loop with AI-assisted coding tools and document real vs. simulated results.
• Package prototype into a production-ready spec for engineers to execute.
• Articulate the business impact and ROI to leadership for future funding.
