Amgen seeks an MBA intern for its Finance & Strategy Leadership Development Program (FSLDP) in Summer 2027. You will partner with Amgen’s organizational leaders and gain exposure across Finance & Strategy, with mentoring and executive-level access from internship start to finish.

Interns who succeed enter a 3-year rotational program across Finance and Strategy teams within FSLDP, with strong emphasis on project execution and leadership development.

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program and completion of the first year before the internship starts
  • MBA student with minimum GPA and core coursework (preferred)
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
  • Experience and/or curiosity about Corporate Finance
  • Thoughtful cover letter explaining interest in FSLDP and goals

Responsibilities

MBA Intern – Finance & Strategy Leadership Development Program (Summer 2027)

What You Will Do

During this program, you will have the opportunity to partner with Amgen’s organizational leaders and gain exposure and access across numerous functional areas within Finance & Strategy. This program is a key pipeline for leadership hires at Amgen, which allows you the opportunity to receive mentoring and exposure to executive-level leadership from internship start to finish.

  • Own the execution of a timely, relevant project tied directly to our strategic and tactical goals while building a highly differentiated toolkit of financial and technical skills to use over the course of your career with Amgen and beyond.
  • Apply critical thinking in a fast paced, high-profile role in an impactful and exciting industry, as you gain exposure to the cross-functional nature of our business and roles.
  • Engage in a week-long multidisciplinary case study project that will expose you to different aspects of our business including revenue and expense forecasting, operations and sales and marketing.

Interns who successfully complete the summer internship experience will be considered for a full-time position in Amgen’s Finance & Strategy Leadership Development Program (FSLDP). FSLDP hires will participate in a 3-year rotational program across Finance and Strategy teams.

Program Eligibility Requirements
  • Expected continued enrollment in an accredited college or university following the internship program
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship program
  • Must be available to work a full-time schedule.
  • Enrolled in a Full-Time MBA Program and must be available to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028, if offered
What We Expect of You

Basic Qualifications:

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years or older
  • Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA program (at a minimum) before the internship starts
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking with effective quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in teams, interact with all levels of management and contribute to an atmosphere of belonging
  • Experience and/or curiosity about Corporate Finance
  • Thoughtful cover letter that explains your interest in FSLDP and how your experiences align with Amgen’s mission and commercial leadership goals

The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $41.83 per hour.
