GenMD is seeking an MBA student to help define commercial strategy for healthcare AI data products. You will contribute to go-to-market plans, pricing, and packaging for data access and partnerships, working closely with the founders on growth initiatives.
The role involves market and competitor analysis that informs the product and sales roadmap, plus building a strong partnership pipeline with prospective health systems, researchers, and AI teams.
GenMD is a Stanford spin-off building AI and data infrastructure for healthcare. We grew out of years of work inside Stanford Medicine, alongside world-class researchers and clinicians, and we now work with health systems and data partners on large longitudinal datasets: claims, health records, imaging and clinical notes. We make that data usable for researchers and frontier AI, while patient privacy stays protected.
We're just coming out of stealth, already revenue-generating and well funded. We're intentionally small, move fast, and are focused on building something fundamental. Our CEO is a former Associate Director of AI at Stanford Medicine. See how we work: https://genmd.ai/careers
Work directly with the founders on the commercial side of GenMD: how health systems and data providers partner with us, how researchers and AI teams buy access, and how we grow Healthcare Datahub. This is a high-ownership role with real deliverables, not a research report that sits on a shelf.
Go-to-market strategy for one of our three audiences: health systems and data providers, academic researchers, or frontier AI teams.
Pricing and packaging for data access and data partnerships.
Market and competitor analysis that feeds directly into the product and sales roadmap.
Partnership pipeline: prospect, prepare materials and join partner and customer conversations.
Currently enrolled in an MBA or similar graduate business program.
Prior experience in strategy, consulting, business development, product or healthcare.
Strong analytical and written communication skills; comfortable with ambiguity.
Interest in healthcare, data and AI; experience with health systems, payers or life sciences is a plus.
Part-time during the term or full-time over summer; flexible start date.
$40 - $55 per hour.
