Tonkin Mazda in Portland is seeking a Mazda Certified Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to Mazda specifications. The role includes mentoring peers, supporting a high‑volume service department, and progressing through on‑site training and certifications.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of automotive repair/diagnostic experience preferred.
• Mazda Certified is preferred.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Automotive diagnostics and inspections.
• Repair engine failures and mechanical/electrical systems; replace parts.
• Follow manufacturer specs throughout service process.
• Mentor and assist other technicians on the service team.
• Schedule: M-F or T-Sat; hours may vary.
