Strange Engineering, a leader in high-performance automotive racing components in Illinois, is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator with at least 2 years of CNC lathe machining experience to join our team. You will operate Mazak lathes, read blueprints, inspect parts, and maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC lathe machining experience required.
• Experience with Mazak machines preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in use of precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mazak lathe machines efficiently and safely.
• Inspect finished parts and verify conformance to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Monitor machine performance and maintain quality standards.
• Operate multiple machines when required.
• Follow all safety procedures and keep work area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with team to meet production deadlines.
